Banned Breeds Policy

The Doggy Cool Company Ltd – Banned Breeds list statement

If your dog is subject to restrictions because of the Breed Specific Legislation, they are still welcome to use our exercise fields, providing they are complying with government requirements.

These dogs include the Pit Bull Terrier, Dogo Argentino, Japanese Tosa, Fila Brasileiro and the XL American Bully Type.

You must let us know in advance that you intend to bring a banned breed to the field.

– You must be able to show your Public Liability Insurance Certificate to us if requested.

– You must be able to show us your Certificate of Exemption to us if requested.

– The dog must be neutered inline with government rules.

– The dog must be microchipped.

– The dog must be kept on a lead and be wearing a muzzle while in any public area.

– The gate must be shut and you should use the padlock to lock yourself in, to prevent anyone from entering the field and to prevent any risk of escape.

– Once securely locked in the field you may remove the muzzle and lead from your dog.

– The dog should be put back on a lead and muzzled before the padlock is removed from the gate and the gate opened.

– There must be a 1:1 ratio between any banned dog and handler. If you are bringing other dogs with you from the same household, who are not banned breeds, you must also bring another handler to monitor those dogs.

– If you are bringing dogs from a different household with you along with your own banned breed dog, the banned breed dog must remain muzzled and on a lead whilst in the field.

Please note that these are not our rules, they are dictated to us by our insurers and / or the government legislation. We hope that by complying with these guidelines, you will have a positive experience with your dog whilst using our facilities!
